National Museum

A museum with an origin since 1778, an embodiment of the Enlightenment spirit that adapts to the times. It has collections encompassing artifacts of history, archaeology, anthropology, and geography, and has a strategic role in the nation-building narrative of Indonesia.

How to get here:

  • Bus
    Use TransJakarta, take line 1 (Blok M – Kota), or 1A (PIK – Balai Kota), or 5A (Kampung Melayu – Grogol), or 6A and 6B (Monas – Ragunan), or 9B (Pinang Ranti – Kota). Get down at Monas Bus Stop. Cross the street to get to the museum.
  • Train 
    Use Commuter Line. From Bogor line, get down at Juanda Station and use TransJakarta line 2A (Pulogadung – Harmoni Central). Get down at Monas Bus Stop and cross the street to get to the museum. From Serpong line, get down at Tanah Abang Station and walk to the museum (± 15 minutes).
