Kenji Makizono uses interviews and collaborations as important parts of his method. Through visual art, he investigates the various problems posed by modernization and nuclear energy, especially in relation to Japan’s ongoing responsibility for the World War II. He is a participating artist and co-organizer of Itoshima International Art Festival: Itoshima Arts Farm, and a member of Asian Arts Air FUKUOKA.
